Dont have wv easy pass yet3/14/2024 ![]() ![]() In addition to road tolls, some airports, such as JFK and LaGuardia in New York, and other parking lots allow customers to use their E-ZPass tag to pay for parking. The 17 states that use E-ZPass are: Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia. ![]() Since the founding of E-ZPass, several other independent systems using the same technology have been folded into the E-ZPass System, such as I-Pass in Illinois and the NC Quick Pass in North Carolina. The E-ZPass Interagency Group consists of 39 member agencies in 18 different states. Additionally, E-ZPass users may have other costs and fees to pay for their transponder or account. Additionally, some agencies charge a monthly account fee, usually of only $1 or $1.50. E-ZPass is usually offered as a debit account, where users make prepayments on their accounts, and tolls are deducted from that amount. Both internal tags (placed on the inside of the windshield) and external tags (designed to attach to a front license plate) are available for customers and can be used for motorcycles.Į-ZPass customers can either merge into manual toll lanes or dedicated E-ZPass lanes, typically named "Express E-ZPass." These are physically separate from toll booths and do not require drivers to slow down. E-ZPass tags are active RFID transponders that respond to toll transmitters, whether lane-based or open-road, by transmitting a unique radio signal. Finally, be sure to look into the Seneca Rocks Trail, which is rated as moderate and extends just 3.6 miles, leading to an observation platform with excellent rock face views.E-ZPass is an electronic toll collection system used on most tolled roads, bridges, and tunnels in the Midwestern and Eastern United States created in 1987. That one will lead you through rich forest, amazing creeks, and awe-inspiring cliffside views. Then, check out the Endless Wall Trail at New River Gorge National Park it’s much easier than the Maryland Heights Loop, and it’s just 2.3 miles long, so it’s easier for a short trek. ![]() What are the most popular hikes in West Virginia?ĭid you know there are more than 700 amazing hiking trails in West Virginia, all of which are definitely worth a gander? Yep, it’s true – but with so many to choose from, as we said above, how do you know where to start? If the easier hikes mentioned in the previous paragraph aren’t quite your thing, how about other scenic hikes in West Virginia, like the Maryland Heights Loop Trail it’s tough, at 6.6 miles long, and it’s home to lots of steep climbs – but the views are totally worth it. Other excellent kid-friendly hikes in West Virginia include the Canyon Rim Overlook Boardwalk Trail, at New River Gorge National Park, and the Long Point Trail at Summersville Lake State Wildlife Area is another great one with a stunning payoff. While at the state park, be sure to also check out the Lindy Point Overlook Trail, which is 0.8 miles long and offers up epic views of Blackwater Canyon. There are so many amazing kid-friendly hikes in West Virginia that it’s tough to decide which ones to start with, so why not start with the easier ones? Some of our favorites include the Blackwater Falls Trail at Blackwater Falls State Park it’s 0.4 miles long, short and sweet, and it leads to one of the best waterfalls in West Virginia.
